Victory at the NC State Democratic Convention!
The NC State Democratic Convention met on June 24 to vote on the Party’s platform. Delegates overwhelmingly voted to accept language strengthening the Party's platform with respect to women's reproductive rights. The NC Democratic Party voted in support of a woman’s right to privacy, improved access to abortions for low-income women and to reduce unintended pregnancy by improving access to birth control like emergency contraception and by providing comprehensive sex education!
