Information on Plan B

Modified: 06/15/2007

Emergency Contraception (EC or "the morning-after pill") is safe effective way to help prevent pregnancy up to 120 hours after unprotected sex.  It is a back-up method of birth control, and is available for women 18 and older at the pharmacy without a prescription.

There are several great websites listed below with information on EC such as where to get it and how it works:

Planned Parenthood of Central NC offers a tollfree DIAL EC service hotline at 1-866-942-7762 or you can order EC online by going to www.pphsinc.org.  Please see www.not-2-late.com for cost and fees associated with either service.

For other locations and providers of EC near you follow this link: www.not-2-late.com or call 1-888-NOT-2-LATE

www.ineedec.info is a new website that will provide teens with valuable information on EC, instructions on how to get EC, and information on how to talk to their doctor and friends about EC.
