Tell Governor Easley to reject "abstinence-only" funding

I'm sure you've heard the problem – North Carolina has the ninth highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation and HIV infection rates are at record highs on college campuses.

Here's the kicker – because our schools receive federal money, educators can only teach our teens Bush's ineffective and unproven abstinence-only programs.

So you can see the problem, right?

Send a message to Governor Easley to reject the federal abstinence-only money so we can give our kids the tools they need to make healthy decisions in the future.

At least 13 states already reject federal abstinence only funding: Virginia, California, Connecticut, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin.
