Urge lawmakers to put Prevention First
Because we believe that women should be empowered to prevent unintended pregnancy in the first place, we're asking lawmakers to end divisive attacks on women's reproductive freedom and unify behind commonsense measures to prevent unintended pregnancy and reduce the need for abortion.
The measures that put Prevention First:
* support medically accurate, comprehensive sex education in NC schools
* recognize a pharmacist's duty to fill lawful prescriptions
* ensure that rape victims receive emergency contraception on-site in the emergency room
* require insurance plans to cover emergency contraception
* increase funding for family planning for low-income women
